Lens Compensators

The compensator is made of pressed half-lenses welded together (so there are two half-lenses per compensator wave). The number of waves of a lenticular compensator can be one, two or more and depends on the required compensation and the available space for the installation of this type of device.

Lens compensators are made with flanged or weldable connections (a reduction may be used) of circular and rectangular cross-section. Compensators can also be made in a mixed version, i.e. with flanged connections on one side and weldable on the other.

The grade of steel for the connections, as in the case of lenses, is selected individually according to the parameters of the installation.

Lenticular type compensators, compensate, axial, angular displacements. They are most often used at heat exchangers. They compensate for stresses in pipelines resulting from the influence of the thermal medium (e.g. district heating). They compensate for static displacements (axial, angular), originating from the operation of equipment and resulting from hydraulic resistance – the flow of the medium.
