Throttle Compensators

The choke compensator, with a relatively short installation length, has a significant axial compensation. The main advantages of the compensator are simple, stable design, which is used in industrial network installations (water, bulk materials, steam).

In these installations, significant axial movements occur. In situations where corrugated pipe compensators cannot be used, a choke compensator is used. The construction of the compensator consists of standardized steel pipes that constitute the so-called Body. In addition, the structure includes elements such as a thrust ring, flanges, an internal bayonet tube, a gland sleeve, packing, and bolts with nuts. The part of the expansion joint with a larger diameter than the diameter of the sliding pipe is the cup. Inside the cup, a retaining ring is welded to provide resistance to the packing. Due to their design, expansion joints require constant supervision, so they should be installed in easily accessible places (service, inspection).
